Financial Management Service Foundation (FMSF) is a development resource organization which was established in the year 1995. FMSF seeks to promote accountability in the voluntary sector by enhancing the capacity of voluntary organizations in the areas of financial management, governance, legal compliances and CSR by providing a plethora of support services such as financial management accompaniment process; trainings & workshops; and information dissemination – E-communiqués (Standards and Norms, Governance toolbox Series), six monthly journal, INTERface and book publications. Some of the recent books published by FMSF are “Finance and Legal Handbook -4th Edition”, “NPO Governance and law in South Asia”, “Handbook on CSR for Corporates and NPOs”. The E-communiqués and INTERface consists of legal and financial updates that are well-researched and relevant to the voluntary sector.
FMSF has also pioneered two online courses for the voluntary sector:
– In 2008, Diploma in Financial Management and Accountability (DFMA) was launched in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) which is a one year diploma programme.
– In 2012, a four modules certificate course on NPO Governance was launched.
