FMSF is a development organization that provides a comprehensive range of services and resources to build robust systems and enhance organizational effectiveness of civil society organizations by focusing on the areas of Governance, Financial Management and Legal Compliances.

The Thematic Specialist will play a vital role within the EU-funded project focused on enhancing the capacities of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in North and Central India. This position demands expertise in specific thematic areas related to governance, compliance, and financial management, contributing essential guidance and support to strengthen the capabilities of participating organizations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide specialized knowledge and expertise in the designated thematic area (e.g., Governance, Compliance, and Financial Management).
2. Assist in tailoring project interventions, workshops, and content to align with the thematic focus.
3. Collaborate effectively with Program Coordinator and other stakeholders to implement project activities effectively
4. Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and developments within the sector
5. Conduct field visits to assess progress and offer necessary assistance.
6. Develop tools, manuals, formats, etc. for organizational system strengthening
7. Provide handholding and accompaniment support to organizations for robust system development
8. Engage in thematic-specific networking initiatives, forums, and discussions aimed at building collaboration and shared learning.
9. Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical assistance to CSOs within the thematic domain.
10. Conduct research and analysis to provide valuable insights for enhancing thematic capacity.
11. Undertake additional duties within the position's scope as required by FMSF.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Preferably a B.COM/ M.COM/MBA/CA or equivalent qualification.
2. 1-3 years of practical experience in the development sector.
3. Excellent communication skills (English and Hindi)
4. Proficiency in project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
5. Proficient in providing guidance on Financial compliances to  partners 
6. Experience working in finance, accounting and compliance will be preferred 
7. Proficiency in analysing data and reporting effectively
8. Strong technical skills 
9. Willingness to travel
10. Proficient in IT and communication tools


Travel Requirement:
Need based travel within the country
