Financial Management Service Foundation (FMSF) is a Resource Organization, which seeks to Promote Accountability. FMSF believes that “Accountability” of Development Organizations is of paramount significance and therefore we strive to enhance the same through our various initiatives and activities. The primary areas of intervention are Financial Management, Legal Compliance and Governance.
FMSF is implementing a development program to provide extensive capacity building of Civil Society organizations on improved financial management, compliances, governance and accountability.
The Thematic Specialist will play a vital role in the program focused on enhancing the capacities of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in North Central and parts of Eastern India. This position demands expertise in specific thematic areas related to governance, compliance, and financial management, contributing essential guidance and support to strengthen the capabilities of participating organizations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized knowledge and expertise in the designated thematic area (e.g., Governance, Compliance, Financial Management).
- Assist in tailoring project interventions, workshops, and content to align with the thematic focus.
- Collaborate effectively with Program Coordinator and other stakeholders to implement project activities effectively
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and developments within the sector
- Conduct field visits to assess progress and offer necessary assistance.
- Develop tools, manuals, formats, etc. for organizational system strengthening
- Provide handholding and accompaniment support to organizations for robust system development
- Engage in thematic-specific networking initiatives, forums, and discussions aimed at building collaboration and shared learning.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical assistance to CSOs within the thematic domain.
- Undertake additional duties as required by FMSF.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Preferably a B.COM/ M.COM/MBA/CA or equivalent qualification.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in the development sector.
- Excellent communication skills (English and Hindi)
- Proficiency in project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical and desktop management skills.
- Strong technical skills
- Willingness to travel.
- Proficient in IT and communication tools.
