In this context, finance and compliance professionals play an important role in ensuring accountability and sound institutional systems. Their work goes far beyond bookkeeping. It involves financial oversight, regulatory compliance, donor reporting, risk management, and organizational decision-making.
Despite this, the sector has lacked a structured professional platform that can support finance professionals in collectively interpreting evolving requirements or articulating and representing sector-wide concerns.
The NGO Accountants’ Network (NAN) addresses this gap.
NAN is a flagship initiative of FMSF and serves as a dedicated professional network for finance and compliance professionals working with civil society organisations across India.
