The Validity Period for receiving and utilizing Foreign Contribution shall be 3 years and 4 years respectively from the date of approval of the application for Prior-Permission
MHA, through a public notice dated 7-April-2025, directs and clarifies that the validity period for receiving and utilizing foreign contribution for an application under prior-permission would be as under:
a) The validity period for receiving foreign contribution shall be 3 years from the date of approval of the application for prior-permission.
b) The validity period for utilizing the said foreign contribution shall be 4 years from the date of approval of the application for priorpermission.
In case where the prior-permission application which is already been approved earlier i.e. before this order date and the project is for more than three years’ period, then in such case, the above time limit shall be calculated from the date of issue of this notice i.e. 7-Apr-2025.
Further, the MHA may allow for extension in the above-mentioned validity period for an association or organization on a case to case basis.
Any receipt or utilization of the FC beyond the above said time limits shall be a violation of FCRA, 2010 and in case of any violation, necessary punitive action shall be taken.
